What Pregnancy Glow?
Yeah, I'm still not experiencing the "Prenancy Glow". I still have the dark circles, pale skin, "Sick" look from being so neaseaus, but my appetite is finally making a come back and I'm slowly gaining back the weight that I lost.
I am 12 weeks pregnant and I'm stoked that I'm a week away from my 2nd trimester.

Turntable Cake♥
Ahhhh, my Turntable Cake!
I'm so proud of this cake! I don't know if the D.J. was impressed seeing his turntable made out of sugar, but I sure hope he was. He said he was, so I'll just have to take his word.
For this cake I used a big square cake pan and cut into a rectangle. Then I made a round cake and cut in half to make the record.
If you look closely there is an imprint on the silver part of the Turntable Cake (retangle cake). To get this imprint I place the silver fondant on the cake and placed a paper towel on the fondant and pressed down. Then took the paper towel off.
To get the silver, I brushed Wiltons Silver Pearl Dust on my grey fondant. Make sure you brush this on the cake when the fondant is totally dry. If not, the wet spots will be more silver then the dry spots.
The head phones I made the night before out of black fondant.
This is another cake that looks "Hard" to make, but is simple if you just take it one step at a time.

Nintendo Entertainment System Cake♥
This is not the best cake that I have ever done, but I still think it's pretty cool.
Which guy from the 80's & 90's wouldn't want a Nintendo cake?!
You may think that this is a "HARD" cake to make, but it is quite simple.
Just bake the cake in a square cake pan and add the details. Bake extra cake to make the controllers. Take it slow and add even the smallest details.
I wished I would have taken more time on this cake to better the over all qulity.

Rainy Day Poo!
Today, is a gray rainy day. We've had nasty rain storms all morning, but with the rain came a nice wonderful breeze. Along with the rain & cool breeze comes a house full of poo and pee.
My adorable yorkie puppy will not go potty outside in this weather. He refuses! It is driving me crazy looking over and seeing piss and pee on my hardwood floors. I'm running around the house with paper towels in one hand and disinfectant in the other.
But how can I stay mad at a face like this?
It's impossible!
Disney Cars Cake♥
To make the brown mountains I cut a strip of brown fondant 1 inch wide, 12 inches long, and 1/4 inches thick. Then I got my handy dandy rolling pin and rolled the fondant vertically. Whatever uneven shape it made I kept. I wrapped it around the cake and got the Moutain look.
The clouds are made from the Wiltons Flower Cut Out. I stretched the white flowers horizontal and got perfect clouds.

Webkinz Skate Cake♥
I did not really know what a "Webkinz" was until I did this cake. Yeah, I've bought one or two for my younger cousin, but I never cared to ask.
FYI: A Webkinz is a stuffed animal (virtual pet) that comes alive online in Webkinz World.
This is a fondant cake. Fondant is A SMOOTH SHEET OF ICING and can be tricky to use, but well worth the try.
You can make your own fondant or you can buy premade fondant by Wilton.
The Fondant Animals are very simple to make and really TOP THE CAKE!
I will show you how to make a panda out of fondant minus his skates.
What I Use: Wiltons White Fondant, Wiltons Black Food Coloring, Wiltons Black Food Writer.
I roll the fondant that I will need into balls and place to the side.
White Fondant: Body and Head
Black Fondant: Arms, Legs, Ears, Eyes, and Nose
Roll your White Fondant into two balls for the body and head and stack the small ball on top of the large ball. I use Water or Clear Vanilla Extract as the adhesive or you can use a tooth pick.
Now, roll your Black Fondant arms into an oval shape and add to the body. Do the same for the legs.
Next, attach your ears, eyes, and nose to the head.
Finally, draw a mouth using the Wiltons Food Writer to your Pandas face.
Add to cake and SMILE :)

Co-Ed Bridal Shower Cake
Bridal Shower Cake
Cakes By Raychel
This is a spring flower cake for a Co-Ed Bridal Shower.
I normally stick to only fondant cakes, but today I decided to try a regular buttercream cake.
I think it turned out okay.
I might have just learned the trick to smoothing out icing.
I was told to dip my spatula in warm water and just smooth out the icing on the cake, but sometimes it left water spots on the cake. My solution...
How to Smooth Out Frosting on a buttercream cake
Tip: Warm up the frosting for 10-15 seconds it makes it so much easier to smooth out over the cake.

Only 202 Days To Go!
There is only 290,880 minutes left until I get to see my little peanut!! I am 11 weeks and 1 day pregnant with my 2nd child and I forgot how bitter/sweet pregnancy is. It's such a blessing to create a life but, in my opinion, pregnancy sucks!!!
3 months ago I would have been stoked to have lost 7 lbs in one week. I'm sure this morning sickness will end soon... cross your fingers!
