Handmade Favor Boxes

Favor Boxes: Handmade By Raychel

Side View

So since I'm on bedrest with nothing to do I am going to help plan my baby shower. I have so many ideas in my head that are just screaming to get out.

The colors are going to be Blue, Brown & White to cordinate with Jaxson's room.
I made these Favor Boxes out of Blue and Brown Cardstock. Then, I tied a polka dot bow on top.
I am going to print out and place this label on the front of the Favor Box.
I had a lot of fun making these!

5 Months - Half Way Point

I am half way done.... ahhhh... only 20 more weeks!
It's very exciting to be at the halfway point.
Jaxson is very active right now. Moving and waking me up at 3am to tell me "GET OFF OF YOUR BELLY. YOU'RE SQUISHING ME, MOMMY". He's giving me practice for the 3am feedings. It's great!! I love feeling him move!

This is the bedding we decided on. It's Lambs & Ivy - Rock 'N Roll Crib Bedding Collection. It is also organic which is a plus : )

We are getting the whole set, Rocking chair and all! Then we are going to buy a little kids drum set in baby blue to put in the room.

Cali Had Puppies!

This is Cali's 1st Litter of Puppies. Aren't they just the Cutest?!
My Mom has 3 Yorkies. She has one boy, Tex and two girls, Cali & Pixie.
Cali just had her second litter of puppies. This will be her last litter.
Her first litter was last December on my Husbands Birthday and this litter was Sunday on Father's Day.
Cali had 5 Puppies and was in a lot of pain. The 5th puppy got stuck and when my Dad finally got the puppy out it was already too late. The poor puppy had died.
My Mom is not a breeder! These are just family pets and Mom always said "if it happens it happens". It happened twice with Cali and now she is getting fixed.
A few minutes after birth.
I do not have a picture of every single puppy. It's kinda hard to tell them apart right now.

Father's Day 2009!

I just want to take the time to acknowledge my Husband, Daniel, on this Father's Day. Daniel, in my opinion, is the best Daddy I could have ever asked for for my children. Not only is he the best Husband but he truly is a great man. I know tons of wives say that about their Husbands, but if you really knew this man you would understand. I am so lucky to have him in my life. He is my meant to be and I love him with all my heart.
Madison with the BEST Daddy in the WORLD! Father's Day 2009
Jaxson TOO!
I want to share a story about Madison & Jaxson's Daddy.
A few weeks ago Daniel, my Brother, and Maddie went fishing and Maddie wanted to catch a fish so bad. My brother, Brandon, caught a tiny bass fish, so (while Brandon took Maddie to the side) Daniel took the tiny bass fish off of Brandon's fishing pole and placed it on Maddie's fishing pole and threw it back into the water. When Maddie came back she continued to fish when she realized she CAUGHT A FISH! She was soooo excited reeling it in! WHAT A GREAT DADDY! He went through all that just to see her smile : )

Only 147 Days Left To GO!

I am 19 weeks pregnant today and I feel great. I have noticed a few mild mood swings, that I could live without, and I can cry while watching a commercial, but overall everything is awesome.
We decided to name the baby Jaxson, but we have not decided on a middle name just yet.
Only 21 more weeks until we can see our little Jaxson Kennedy!
So, change of subject....
My Mom made Chocolate Covered Strawberries today.... mmmmm... yummy!
Loving these Pregnancy Cravings : )

I got my eye on the BIG one.

Thanks MOM!

Jolly Rancher Bouquet

This is my Jolly Rancher Candy Bouquet, A.K.A. My "Fruity Margarita".
It is placed in a Margarita glass.
I could also make solid colors for a Green Apple Margarita or even a Strawberry Margarita.
I am stoked to announce that I sold 8 of these this morning to a small business. I know 8 isn't a ton, but it will keep me busy, while on bedrest, for a couple days. WHOO HOOO!
Making money and doing something creative while in bed is AWESOME!
Ewwww... that doesn't sound right does it?!
Yall know what I mean.

Wedding KeepSake Box

"To say 'I Do', one special day, marks the beginning of a lifetime."
This is a Wedding Keepsake Box I made for my Husbands cousin.
This would be perfect for all my Wedding Cards.
I, actually, keep all my cards that I have ever received. I still have cards from Kindergarten! My Husband and I have a tradition that every anniversary we re-read all the cards we got on our special day.
Put your cards in the box and place the box on your bookshelf : )

How To Make A Skull & X-Bones

To make a Skull & Crossbones like this....
You will need a Knife or Craft Knife, Number 8 Cut Out, Star Cut Out, Heart Cut Out, & Fondant.
Roll out your Fondant and use your Number 8 Cut out upside down.
Cut horizontal like the picture above.
Make spiky teeth with your knife, Cut out 2 Star shaped eyes, & 1 Triangle nose.
With the left over Fondant cut out an "X" shape and 4 small Hearts. Place the Hearts at the ends of your "X".
Add to your cake. That's all there is to it!

Creative Spongebob Party Ideas

Spongebob Party Ideas

"Who lives in a Pineapple Under the Sea?"
I like to plan parties, and for my Daughter's 4th Birthday she had a Spongebob Square Pants Party. Here are some Sponge Bob Party ideas.
Goody Bags: Spongebob Tattoos, Suckers, Pirate Mints, Lifesavers, Mini SpongeBob Posters, & Gold Coins.
We, also, added some SpongeBob Fruit Snacks we found at Kroger.

DIY BUBBLES! To match any theme...
You can purcahse these bubbles at
www. PartyCity.com

Take off the Birthday Bubble Wrapper and add your sticker.
Spongebob Bubbles!

I love it! You can do the bubble idea for any theme, and if you can't find the Birthday Bubbles just get the plain wedding bubbles instead.
You can also add stickers to a solid color drinking cup. The kids cups are just too small

The Spongebob Cake....
This was her Spongebob Square Pants Cake made by mommy.

Snack Table: The Sand Pails held chips and we used the shovels for the dip.

We also bought these Pineapple Trays for 50 cents each and put carrots and gold fish in them. I do not have pictures of the food (wished I did) but we made Krabby Patties, aka sliders. YUMMY

The Spongebob Decorations....
The Decorations: For the Decorations we put the Awesome Water Gossamer Wall Decal and Spongebob Scene Setter on the walls. Found at Party City.

We do not have pictures of the "pretend" bubbles, but we got fishing wire and attached clear ornaments to hanging from the ceiling. We also, had clear balloons spread out on the floor to look like bubbles.

The Green balloons with crape paper is the sea weed and the Pink balloons with crape paper is the jelly fish. Adjust your crape paper to have floating balloons. Too heavy it will go to the ground but too light will go to the ceiling.

We covered all tables with Spongebob plastic table cloths and added a Pineapple for the centerpiece.

The Spongebob Party Outfit...
The Birthday Girl needs to be in character!!!
I found a P.J. Shirt, made a sparkly brown tutu, bought blue & red striped tube socks (just like Spongebob), and paired it with the black shoes.
Happy 4th Birthday, Madison!
Mommy loves you to the moon and back times fifty billion plus one!
