Cute Cheerleading Gift

DIY MONDAY
Cheerleader Candy Bouquet
My cousin tried out for cheerleading and my mom had a great idea. She said let's get a cheerleading megaphone and make a candy bouquet out of it. So we went to the store and got a Blue Cheerleading Megaphone, the Megaphone Base, Silver Stickers, and a Good Luck Horseshoe. Then I worked my candy bouquet making magic and made this. She was the only girl who had a good luck gift like this and she had her teachers asking "Where did you get that?".

Thanks for the great idea, Mom :D

Thomas the Train Cake

Sweet Friday
Thomas the Train Inspired Cake
By Raychel Kennedy

This is the finished cake :D

It's a two tier topsy turvy cake.
Daniel did a great job with all the rocks.

...and I worked hard on the train. He is 100% edible.

Sneak Peek...

Sneak peak of next 'Sweet Friday's' post.
It's a Thomas The Train cake.

I made Thomas The Train out of fondant. He is all edible.

It will be a 2 tier topsy turvy cake.

And after YEARS of trying to convince Daniel that doing cakes TOGETHER would be fun, he woke up and said "Can I Help?".

WOW!! I was shocked and EXCITED.

So Daniel made all the rocks for this cake and we plan on taking a cake class together :D

Candyland Party

Candyland Party Ideas

After weeks of planning and endless hours of preparing, Madison's 5th Birthday Party is complete!

Welcome To Madison's Candy Land!!!
This was the most fun I have ever had with decorating a cake. I loved every minute of it and the more candy I added the better it looked.

The blue dots on the first layer are Gumballs, the second layer is Gum Drops, and the bottom layer is Starburst. Those are real cupcakes too. I used my Mini Cupcake Pan with those mini liners I won from Pink Little Cake for the itty bitty cupcakes. I added Jolly Rancher, suckers and crushed rock candy (crushed with a hammer). I also, put gum drops on a lollipop stick and bend them outward.
My home made sucker holder :}

I got 4 rectangle styrofoams and wrapped them in scrapbook paper. Then, I just pushed the suckers in place. Simple and cute :)

Happy 5th Birthday Sweets
Makin a wish... I sure do hope it comes true.

So sad seeing all my hard work ending up like this, but I know it was enjoyed.

Some of the candy decorations hanging. The candy lollipops stayed outside, leading up the walk way.

Check out the Candyland Bouquets we made for the centerpeices of each table.

Check out the Candy Suckers we made for the side walk leading up to the house.

Madison Turns 5

Today is Madison's 5th Birthday.

Happy 5th Birthday, Madison. You are the reason Mommy does everything from tutus to cakes to crafts to loving you. You make my heart smile and I love you so very much. I love how you're silly like Mommy and funny like Daddy. You are my everything.

I can't believe it has been 5 years since Madison came into my world. Other parents always told us, "take lots of pictures because she'll grow up fast", but I never imagined just how fast time would fly. You can't truely understand that sentence until you're the one living it. I'm so grateful for being a picture freak. I've takin thousands of pictures over the years.... Thousands.

Here are a few....

Madison at 6 weeks old

Madison's first time swimming at 2 months old.

Madison 6 months old setting around my favorite material.... Tulle.

Madison one year old.
I have been a very emotional Mommy today. My baby girl is no longer a baby and it's hard. I know time is going to fly by. Soon she will be in middle school, then the prom, then college. I'm just not ready. She starts school this fall and it will be one of the sadest days. She has always been with me. Never been to daycare. I know it's good for her and it's a must, but I'm just not ready.
Ugggg... sorry. I'll stop whining. Today is a happy day. I have a beautiful and healthy, amazingly wonderful, 5 year old daughter, who I love to the moon and back times fifty billion plus one.
Happy 5th Birthday My Sweet Little Girl.

Oh, this is the outfit she will wear to her party. It is for sale at Tutu Fairy.

Candyland Decorations

I made these lollipop decorations out of wooden dowels, paper plates, cellophane, and curly ribbon.
I got 6 wooden dowels and spray painted them white. Then I taped two paper plates together leaving a hole to slide the wooden dowel in. I covered the paper plates with cellophane and tied at the bottom of the plates around the wooden dowel.

Then I made some little candies to hang from the ceiling. Just punch a hole at the top and add some string or fishing wire.

What other candies do you think I could make for the Candyland party??

Candyland Party Ideas. Candyland Candy Bouquet

I've been getting things ready for Madison's 5th Birthday Party this Sunday and today I made these Candyland Bouquets. They will be the centerpieces for the tables.

Instead of using glass cups I thought it would be cute to use the little cups that match the decorations. I think I was right, because I love it :D
This would look cute for any themed party.
