Boy's Applique Shirts

Applique Shirts for Boys

My newest sweet lil model for Tutu Fairy!
I've been wanting to add Boy Items to Tutu Fairy for a long time, and now that I have a boy I'm more eager to get things up and going.

You can make your own Applique shirts or place an order with Tutu Fairy!

Custom orders are always welcomed!

For the Numbers and Letters I use WORD to print out a tempate. I make it either 4x4" or 5x5".

Just make sure you mirror the image.
I use heat and bond on the back of the fabric. Cut out my template and iron on to the shirt. Then I sew around the edge of the Applique.

Super easy and fun!

If you have any questions just let me know and if you have any ideas of what you would like to see at Tutu Fairy I would love to hear!

Cooking With Ashley: Fantastic Cookies

Hey guys! I am so excited to be blogging for My Creative Way! I am going to be showing you how to make Jumbo Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies...quite a mouthful right? So are these cookies!

First, gather your ingredients:

-4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
-2 teaspoons baking soda
-2 cups butter (4 sticks) of butter, softened (No, that was not a typo...you will be using a lot of butter. Trust me, it's worth it)
-1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
-1/2 cup white sugar
-2 3.4 ounce packages instant vanilla pudding mix (this keeps the cookies moist)
-4 eggs
-2 teaspoons vanilla extract
-4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Sift together flour and baking soda. Set aside.

In a large bowl cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar using an electric mixer. Beat in the vanilla pudding mix until blended.

Stir in the eggs and vanilla.

Add this to the flour mixture and blend together.

Finally stir in the chocolate chips.

Drop cookies by small handful onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes

When you take them out of the oven immediately place them on a cooling rack, wax paper, or aluminum foil. If left on the cookie sheet they will continue to cook and they may get too crispy.

Now it is time to get a glass of milk and enjoy one of these fantastic cookies.

Thank you for "Cooking With Ashlee" and I cannot wait to blog again.

Look for more tasty treats and yummy food coming soon!

3 Tier Topsy Turvy Cake

3 Tier Topsy Turvy Cake
By Raychel Kennedy

This cake was so much fun! I was in a zone and it came out great :}

I do not like plain cakes so instead of adding color to the top 2 tiers I added dimension by cutting out stars in the same color.

I made the red and black stars that are coming out from the cake and the #5 cake topper 3 days prior to placement on the cake. I mixed some colored fondant with gum paste, placed a wire that was hooked at the top trough the fondant, and place in a cake drum to dry.

Daniel and I had to make a video and we used this cake in the video. We had a great time with each take and we laughed a lot! I love being silly with my love!

Here's some fun and silly pictures from the video...

Hello I am Raychel Kennedy....

What's great about me.....

This wasn't in the video... this was inbetween takes haha

Hope you like the cake!

Oh, dont you just love my new apron! I saw this fabric at the fabric store and just had to make myself an apron!!

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Rangers fan falls 30 feet...

Did you hear about the 25 year old man who fell 20-30 feet at Tuesday nights Ranger game??

Click Here to read the story of a Rangers fan who feel 30 fell while trying to catch a foul ball.

The last 2 days this man has ran through my mind a hundred times. I, first hand, knows how he feels. When I was five years old I fell out of a 3 story window and I still have nightmares to this day.

It was moving day in 1990. We were moving from an apartment to a house on base, in New Mexico. My mother had the windows opened because she was cleaning, but the screens was on the windows. The window had a window seat and my brother Eric and I was looking outside. I remember seeing a friend and I told Eric "Hey there is that boy". He said "where" so I pushed my head against the screen to get a better look. The screen popped off the window and out I fell. I landed on an air conditioning unit and then the rocks. I remember landing in the frog position and I couldn't breathe. I remember trying to get up and falling back down. I remember being so scared. I remember pain.

My parents called 911 but they didn't come. My Dad picked me up and put me in the car and we went to the hospital. I remember the back brace and how hard the back board was. I remember when I had to get X-Rays and reaching for my moms hand as I was being pushed away.

I was lucky. I didn't have any broked bones. They said if I was any older I would have died from the impact.

To this day I still have dreams. I'm scared of high places and bridges. I hate hearing stories of kids who fell to their deaths. Uggg... it makes me sick!

That's my story! Please, say a prayer for the 25 year old man who fell. I know, he will have nightmares the rest of his life

Happy Birthday America! July 4th 2010

July 4th was a few days ago and we had a great time!

Fourth of July is a special day for Americans and some times we tend to forgot how important this day was for our country. We are the land of the free because of all the men and women who fought and still fight for our freedom. I am very grateful that I was born and raised in this great country we call America!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!

Can you beleive that Jaxson is now 9 months old?? The kids are doing great! Madison is the best big sister to him and I'm really like their age difference. She helps me so much from grabing this to that to keeping him entertained while I am making tutus.

This has become my new favorite picture of all times. I just love it! Madison and Daddy holding baby ducks at Nana and Papa's house.

We celebrated our day with a cookout and some swimming. Then we went and watched fireworks the same place Daniel and I use to go as teenagers. It was an amazing feeling to go back to wear it all began with our completed family. It was the same place Daniel and I shared our first kiss exactly 10 years ago under the fireworks and now my family is eating braums ice cream watching the fireworks.

Fourth of July is always the day we found out I was pregnant with Madison six years ago. I love this day and all the memories it brings.

I made Madison this 4th of July Pillowcase Dress for Madison to wear.

No, I did not cut up an American flag. It's fabric!!

How was your 4th? What did you do?? Did you get a 3 day weekend or did you have to go back to work on Monday?

Randall Cunningham

This is Raychel's husband, and she has a lot on her plate so like the great and awesome husband I am,I am writing this one time to see how this whole blog things works. I don't know anything about crafts or anything creative so like a typical man I am writing about sports. So as a father of two beautiful children I could never imagine losing a child. Randall Cunningham who was a quaterback in the NFL for 16 seasons and is now 47 son, Christian, drowned this week in the hot tub at his house. My heart goes out to Randall and his family. I grew up watching him play and just can't imagine the pain he is in. I know when Madison wants to go somewhere where they have a pool I always run that thought threw my head that what if she falls in the pool or slips and bumps her head. I am sure I am just being over protective but it is for good reason. Let me know your thoughts on this or something that you have experienced like this. Maybe if anybody likes hearing from me I could write one day a week. We could call it "Man day Mondays". Oh and by the way if you have not seen Toy Story 3 It is a must see, we were cracking up for 2 hours.

Daniel
