What To Expect The First Week Of Kindergarden....

Yes, that is right! Madison is growing up! She is a Kinder now :}

Madison has officially been in school one week and will start her second week tomorrow.

She picked out her HELLO KITTY outfit to wear for the first day of school. I wanted her to wear a dress, but she insisted this was the perfect outfit to start the school year. How could I argue with that.

The first week of school was hard for both Mommy and child. As a mom I was an emotional wreck. My baby girl was starting a journey that Mommy could not be apart of and it made me sad. She is officially a BIG girl who is ready for this new adventure.

 As a child, Madison was exhausted all week long. She is not use to getting up a 6am to get ready for school and to go to school to learn for 7 hours. Then she comes home and has drill team at night just to do it all over again the next day. Whew... alot for a five year old to adjust to. She crashes out everyday right after school until the time drill team practice starts up.

At the end of the school week she brought all her work home with such great pride and accomplishment on her face.

 I love hearing how her day went!

Wall Pacifier Holder

Wall Pacifier Holder
Orginal Creation

Dont you hate losing your baby's pacificers?? Jaxson doesn't use his anymore, but when he did we had 10 of them and could never find more than 3 at a time, so I decided to make a pacificer wall holder.

I've been looking for Pacifier Holders that hung on the wall and I have NEVER found one.

I have had this idea in my mind for a long time and I've just now had the time to create it.

Great for boys and girls!

Has 5 clips to clip on loose binkies...

..and 3 ribbon tags to clip on the binkie holders.

Holds any type of Pacifier.

Binkie Holders clip right on :}

How to Make A Tie Dye Cake

Tie Dye Cake

My Mother has been making us tie dye cakes for years! Or some like to call them Rainbow Cakes. I had a customer ask me if I could make a Tie Dye cake inside and out and I had alot of fun doing so.

I, first, had to call my Mom and figure out how to do it. I took pictures so you could follow along. I love having a creative Mom :}

Note: I made two tie dye cakes. One was a tester cake I made a week before the actual cake I made for the customer. The tester cake is the pictures below. We made a family event out of it and had a MESSY BLAST!

Mix a white cake how you like.

  • Seperate the batter in bowls or plastic cups. I didn't want a bunch of dishes to wash.
  • I wanted 7 different colors, so I have 7 cups full of white cake mix.
  • Add food coloring (I used Wilton's Food Coloring
  • Mix the food coloring until blended.
Madison just had to take a lick out of each color :}

  • One color (cup) at a time add to your sprayed cake pan. Just add them right on top of eachother and it will spread it self out.
  • Keep adding each cup until your pan is 2/3 full.
  • Bake cake and cool

  • Once you cut the top of your cake it will look something like this :}

Oh here is the cake I made for the customer. I gotta admit.... it is not my favorite cake. I hand painted the tie dye, but next time I'll knead the fondant tie dye. Also, my camera broke right after the above pictures so they are not high quality(Jaxson pulled it off the counter and it hit him in the nose making his nose bleed and breaking the camera... poor baby! Poor $600.00 camera!).

Hope you have a wonderful Friday and and even better weekend!!

Sweet Friday: Baby Shower Fondant Cake

Sweet Friday
It's a Girl Baby Shower Cake
By Raychel Kennedy

I made this cake August 1st and it might just be my new favorite.
I know I say that with each new cake I make but I really love the bottom tier of this cake.

Very Girly!

Present Cakes are always fun to make. They are one of the easiest cakes to decorate. I have so much fun making the bows and somehow I luck out with a perfect bow everytime :D

The bottom tier wasn't as easy but it still was fun!

Hope you like this cake as much as I do :}

Have a Sweet Friday!!

Computer Crashed!

Hey Everyone! I'm so excited to be back!! My computer crashed last week and I just got my new one in the mail. I love it!!

I do not know much about computers/laptops but I bought the Gateway 15.6" LCD from HSN and I really like it!

What kind of computer do you use? Desk or Lap?? Gateway or Dell? I've had two dell computers and both of them crashed! I'm hoping I have better luck with Gateway.
