Wrestling Ring Cake

 Two Tier Wrestling Ring Cake
Cakes By Raychel

Tips to make a Wrestling Ring Cake yourself...

The black poles are spaghetti noodles covered in black fondant. I put the noodle all the way down the cake and left 2" of the noodle sticking out of the cake. Then, I covered the noodle in black fondant, shaping it into a pole.

Put little indents on the black fondant poles to hold up white string for the Wrestling Ring Ropes.

Double knott the string behind one of the back poles.

The left side of this Wrestling Ring Cake says, "Collin's 6th Birthday" and the right side says, "Let's Rumble" in red fondant.

Top of the cake is a 4" x 4" black cutout fondant square.

I used white and red buttercream icing to make the World Wrestling Symbol.

It's just two W's traced a few times over again in white buttercream.
The front of the cake is grey fondant with "ARE YOU READY?"

Then I made a bar code with "ADMIT ONE" under neath. It matched the invitations to the party.

Very easy to make and I really enjoyed decorating it. My favorite was setting up the Wrestling Ring and painting the lines for the bar code.

Zebra Diva Bedding with DIY Decorative Zebra Pillows

Zebra Diva Bedding
Decorative Zebra Diva Pillows
We are changing Madison's room to Zebra Diva and it's starting to look amazing.

The Zebra Bedding was bought from Target. My step-mother made the Zebra Curtains and two of the Zebra Pillows.
I saw this Yorkie Zebra Pillow at Justice and I knew Madison had to have it. We have two yorkie dogs (Coda & Pinkie) and this pillow looks just like them.

You may remember this Zebra Diva Rag Wreath from a previous post. I added a long ribbon to it and hung it from the curtain rod. Looks great hanging here!

Learn how to make your own Zebra Diva Rag Wreath HERE.
Here are the DIY Zebra Diva Pillows.

My Step-Mom made the back two and she sewed black and white tassels to the corners.
I made this Zebra Diva Initial Pillow.
You can DIY. You just need Zebra and Hot Pink Fabric. The Pink Fabric is a 6" x 12" strip of fabric sewn in half and then sewn on a 12" x 11" rectangle. Leave one end unsewn to add pillow filler and sew close. I gathered the strip of hot pink fabric together using a peice of black and hot pink tulle. Then I added this rhinestone "M" broach I bought from Hobby Lobby.

I never knew sewing a pillow could be so fun!
All for my Princess, Madison :)

If she is Happy then I am Happy!

Zebra Diva Fleece Boa Scarf

Zebra Diva Fleece Boa Scarf

I hope you are not sick of all things Zebra just yet :)

Look how cute this zebra scarf is!

So simple to do.

This scarf measures 60" long and 6" wide and uses Hot Pink, Black, and Zebra Fleece.

I actually like these measurements better for Madison then the orginal Kid's Scarf Measurements I had previously. Check out my post "how to make a kids fleece fringe scarf" for step by step instructions. Follow the same steps, just change the measurements to 60" long and 6" wide.

I made this Wild Hearts with Zebra Print Pillowcase Dress for Madison.

Zebra Diva Birthday Cake

 Zebra Diva Birthday Cake

Cake is covered in fondant. I cut out the zebra print using black fondant by looking at zebra fabric. The little diva on top of the cake is made from fondant. She is wearing a tutu and hair bow and has two bottom teeth :)

The lady who ordered this cake also bought the Diva Zebra Tutu Set from Tutu Fairy.

Madison wants a Zebra Diva 6th Birthday party this year :0) I can not wait to get Zebra cRaZy!

Mod Podge Zebra Diva Crayon Coin Bank

Yes, that is right! This is a Mod Podged, Zebra Diva, Crayon Coin Bank, and it's super cute!!

The Supplies I Used.....

Zebra Scrapbook Paper, Black Scrapbook Paper, White Scrapbook Paper, Black Ribbon, Hot Pink Ribbon, Hot Pink Crayon Coin Bank, Mod Podge, Scissors, Rhinestones, Hot Glue Gun with Glue, and a Sponge Brush to paint on the Mod Podge.

I saw this Crayola Crayon Coin Bank at Toys R Us and I just had to have it for Madison's room, but it needed something more. Her room is Zebra Diva so I figured I could dress it up using Scrapbook paper and Mod Podge. I love love the way it turned out. I'll show you Jaxson's Coin Bank in a future post :)

Decorate any way you like using Mod Podge as you go and adding a top layer of Mod Podge when you are finished.

I hope you all like this project as much as I do :)

Happy Pre-Friday!

Hot Pink & Zebra Fabric Rag Wreath

How to make a Fabric Rag Wreath
Update: Check out Madison's Zebra Diva Room.
You will Need:
  • A Hanger or Wire
  • 1 yard of Fabric
  • Scissors or Shears
  • Ribbon
  • Glue Gun (optional)
Get your Hanger and shape it into a circle.

Bend the top of your hanger into a loop.
This is how you hang your Fabric Rag Wreath over a nail on your wall, or you can tie a piece of ribbon on this loop to hang the ribbon over a nail instead.

Cut fabric into strips.

I cut my fabric strips at 10 inches long and 2 inches wide.

My Diva Zebra Fabric Rag Wreath pattern is Hot Pink, Zebra, Zebra, Hot Pink, Zebra, Zebra etc...

Tie one piece of fabric around the wreath. You can double tie it or single tie it. To secure you can place a dab of Hot Glue in the center of each knot.

I double tied it and did not use any glue.

Go all the way around your hanger until you can not fit any more fabric on it.

Add a Ribbon Bow and you are finished :)

Perfect for Madison's new Diva Zebra Room :)

I want to make one this year for Christmas and Halloween!

Snowflake Wedding Cake

Snowflake Wedding Cake

Happy New Years!!! I am so excited to start 2011! My First day of twenty-eleven consisted of finishing a Snowflake Wedding Cake and delivering it.

This is a buttercream cake with hand piped snowflakes on it. I then painted silver and pearl luster dust on the snowflakes.

What are your New Year's Resolutions??

I still haven't made any, but I'm going to think about it tonight :)
