15 Tornadoes near Dallas Texas

15 Unconfirmed Tornadoes in North Texas....
Today was a scary day. 15 tornadoes hit texas. That number might increase once they do the finally evaluation. I didn't get anything done today because my son and I spent most our day in the bathroom. Jaxson is 2 years old and doesn't understand "tornado talk" so we played a game and was hiding from the tornado.
Royse City, Forney, Arlington, Lancaster, Hutchins was hit. I'm next door to Forney. 600 families lost their home or had some kind of damage to their home. Think about that.... 600 FAMILIES. Doesn't that just bring tears to your eyes.

If you feel an overwhelming urge to help here is some information I felt that  needed to be passed along...
2 Twisters hit 73 homes in Forney, Texas.
"IMPORTANT DISASTER INFORMATION

c|Lifer’s

By now you are all aware of the devastating tornadoes that struck our community in the past few hours. As always, the most important thing that you can do right now is pray for those lives that have been affected through this event. However, we are not content with simply leaving it at that.
...
If you or someone you know was directly affected by today’s events then please respond to this email and let us know how we can assist you/them in the short term. We want to help.

As a staff we have been coordinating with local first responders in order to provide efficient and effective assistance to the people of Forney.

We just spoke with the Forney Mayor, Darren Rozell, and he has asked that we use our facility as the collection point for City of Forney. This will mean that we will need volunteers to staff our facility (the “collection point”) for at least the next 24 hours without interruption. This involves you. We want the people of c|Life to lead out in supplies such as water, non-perishable foods, blankets, and even gift cards to local restaurants. You can bring those supplies by at any time.

The displaced families all have a place to stay this evening but they will need ongoing supplies in the days ahead. This will not only involve purchasing goods but soliciting them, collecting them, and organizing them for easy distribution. This is a fairly large task but we are up to it. The administration and staffing schedule will be coordinated by Cooper Taylor. Please contact him at ctaylor@clifec.com and he will work with your schedule to keep the distribution point staffed (remember that the wee hours of the night are extra tough to have covered). You can give online through clifec.com by designating your online gift to “missions”. Finally, feel free to use your existing social networks to make this information known.
