Tutorial: How to make a Candy Bouquet.

DIY Candy Bouquet

I get 2 -3 emails per week requesting this tutorial, so I hope you enjoy :)

Candy Bouquets make wonderful gifts for any occcasion. Mother's Day, Father's Day, Teacher Gifts, & Get Well Soon Gift. I make them for my kids Birthday Parties. Here's Madison's Candy land Party with a Candy Land Candy bouquet.

 Supplies Needed...
*Jolly Ranchers: or other candy. look here
*Party Cup: any theme
*3" Styrofoam Ball
*Glue Gun
*Glue

DIY Steps....
Place glue on the top inside of your paper cup.

Place the Styrofoam Ball inside your cup. Press down.

Place a dab of glue on the styrofoam ball. Start at the bottom.

Add your candy to the glue and press. I like to hear the styrofoam crunch a little, so I know the candy is going to stay. Hold for 10 seconds.

Add your candy all the way around. It will look like this.

Do the same thing with the next layer. Add the candy inbetween the cand on bottom, instead of directly on top of the first layer of candy.

Work your way up until your styrofoam ball is covered with candies.

See how easy that was :)

Coca-Cola Candy Bouquet

Wednesday - "Quench Their Thirst"

I made a small Candy Bouquet on top of a Coca-Cola can. It would have been too boring to just send a plain Coke can :)

Check out the DIY Snack Attack Post.

DIY: Chocolate Covered Pretzels
Just wrap a canister with zebra wrapping paper. Inside is lined with pink zebra tissue paper, then filled with chocolate covered pretzels. Some pretzels are sprinkled with pink sugar. Add a a note. Madison put "For being Nice" on the inside of her 'Thank You' note. Put the Thank You note inside the canister and write "Snack Attack" on the outside of your canister.

We didn't do anything for Tuesday, but here is the link for Wednesday's "Quench Their Thirst".

Crayola Pen Holder Tutorial. Inexpensive Teachers Gift Ideas

Teachers Gift Idea:
Crayola Pen(cil) Holder Tutorial

Do you need a last minute Teachers Gift but have no idea what to do? That's what happened to me today when my daughter informed me that today was her teachers last day. I had to think on my feet and create something inexpensive but creative, so I came up with this Crayola Pen(cil) Holder.

Supplies Needed to Make Your Own...
  • Glue Gun & Glue Sticks (or Mod Podge)
  • Fabric or Paper
  • Scissors
  • Small Empty Can (I used a Peas Can)
  •  28 Crayons
  • Ribbon
You probably already have all these items at home!

~How to make a Crayon Pencil Holder~
Step by Step Tutorial

1. Wash out your peas can and remove the label.
2. Let can dry

I used a Peas Can because it was shorter than a corn or green bean can. You want your can a little shorter then your crayons.

3. Cut, wrap, and glue fabric or paper around your can.

I used a colorful rainbow fabric, but it was pointless. Your crayons cover the whole can. I recommend just plain white computer paper.

You may even not have to wrap your can in paper or fabric. I did just to make sure the crayons would stick better. I do not know how easily the crayons would come off a metal can. Crayons glue to paper very well.

4. Glue your Crayons to the can. Make sure you glue your crayola on straight.

It took 28 Crayons to cover my can.

5.Wrap around and glue down your ribbon.

6. Make a simple bow.

Simple and Cute!

I would love to see Your Creative Way.... TEACHER STYLE!

Email me your teacher craft ideas so I can feature you :)

Thanksgiving Turkey Toes Teacher Gift

Turkey Toes

Madison wanted to give her teacher a Thanksgiving Gift, so we made a jar of Turkey Toes for her.

We wanted to use the Candy Corn Candies (with the brown) but all our local stores was sold out. I guess it's only a Halloween candy?! So, instead of using the Candy Corn we used the Reeces Pieces Candy.
We filled the jar with a bag of candy, and decorated it with brown and orange ribbon. I made the "Turkey Toes" Tag from the computer and glued it on the jar. Then I just cut a square peice of brown fabric and coved the lid.

Her teacher loved it!

Happy Pre Turkey DAY!

*Sorry for the bad picture. I took it with a camera phone, because I forgot my camera at home and I was already at the school.
