Thanksgiving Turkey Toes Teacher Gift

Turkey Toes

Madison wanted to give her teacher a Thanksgiving Gift, so we made a jar of Turkey Toes for her.

We wanted to use the Candy Corn Candies (with the brown) but all our local stores was sold out. I guess it's only a Halloween candy?! So, instead of using the Candy Corn we used the Reeces Pieces Candy.
We filled the jar with a bag of candy, and decorated it with brown and orange ribbon. I made the "Turkey Toes" Tag from the computer and glued it on the jar. Then I just cut a square peice of brown fabric and coved the lid.

Her teacher loved it!

Happy Pre Turkey DAY!

*Sorry for the bad picture. I took it with a camera phone, because I forgot my camera at home and I was already at the school.

Kennedy's Thanksgiving 2009

Kennedy Family Thanksgiving 2009

We had a great Thanksgiving. I'm so thankful for my husband and 2 healthy kiddos. They make me smile everyday.

I made Mommy and Daughter matching applique shirts. We got a bunch of compliments on them :)
It, also, was Jaxson's first Thanksgiving. He slept most of the time and didn't have a care in the world as he was passed around from one family member to the next.

I am just so thankful for all the great people God has blessed me with.

Happy Turkey Day 2009!

This year for Thanksgiving, I decided to make Marshmallow Pilgrim Hats to take to the In-Laws and My Family's house.

Daniel wanted Cake Balls but I just did not have the time.

These are super easy and fast to make.

All you do is cover big Marshmallows in melted Milk (or Dark) Chocolate and sit on top of the bottom side of a Keebler Fudge Stripe Cookie. Then add the buckle with Yellow Frosting.

Fun and Cute!

Kids Crafts: Silver Acorns

Silver Acorns! Great project for kids :)
♥ ♥ ♥
Great for centerpieces.
Madison and I went on an acorn hunt today. We had to walk a few streets over to find an Acorn Tree. We collected all the Acorns we could find.
Madison used her Carry Along Treasure Can to hold all the acorns we found.
We used fabric glitter and hand painted them on the Acorn tops.
Set them aside to dry.
Get your handy dandy hot glue gun out and glue the acorns back into the tops.
Look how adorable!
Next time we are going to use loose glitter to make them pop even more :)

The Perfect Pumpkin

I make a glitter pumpkin every year. It is great for Halloween and for thanksgiving decorations.
You need: A pumpkin, glue, and orange glitter.
Oh, and black paint if you want to add a pumpkin face.
--------------------------------
Add glue all over your pumpkin.
Rub in with finger tips.
Add your Orange glitter.
Dust off excess orange glitter.
--------------------
TaDa!!!
The perfect pumpkin.
I love it and when people walk in the house they think it's fake.
I like the pumpkin with orange glitter, but it also looks great with gold glitter, or better yet, have one of each.
You could, also, put a pumpkin face on your pumpkin with black paint, Madison insisted that this year I gave my pumpkin a face.
Have fun and enjoy the orange glitter you will find all over your house for the next 2 weeks :)

Fall Leaves Cake

This is my Fall Leaves Cake!
I really had a great time making this cake and I love the colors.
The Fall Leaves Cake was for an Anniversary party in November.
Fondant Acorn sprinkled with Wilton's Edible Gold Pearl Dust. Fall Leaves with Berries. To get the leaves, mix 2 or 3 different colors of fondant (do not blend the fondant completely, or you'll get one ugly color leaf), roll out fondant, and cut with your leaf cutter.
